The City of Subiaco is proud to be the first local government to introduce the Recharge Scheme in Western Australia.
The ‘Recharge Scheme’ was initially developed by metropolitan and rural access workers in Victoria and is now rapidly expanding to other areas across Australia.
The scheme provides community members with the option of charging their motorised mobility devices such as scooters and electronic wheelchairs, at community venues, local businesses and city-owned buildings identified as ‘Recharge Points’.
The city is a recognised ‘Recharge Partner’ and Recharge Points are being set up at various locations around the city. The city will work closely with businesses to ensure the designated area meets the appropriate safety and access requirements.
